Angelokastro is a lowland village in the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania and the seat of the homonymous local community and municipal unit that belongs to the Municipality of Agrinio. It is located on the east bank of the Acheloos River and on the west side of Lake Lysimachia, while it is about 18 kilometers from the city of Agrinio. According to the 2011 census, the population is 1,325 permanent residents. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round.
