The Church of Agios Georgios dominates the center of the village of Mataraga. It is a fairly large rectangular church, which is externally made of stone. It has a dome and is internally decorated with marble mosaic floors, hanging gilded chandeliers and impressive paintings. It consists of two stone bell towers that rise on either side of the main entrance, as well as a manicured courtyard, in the center of which dominates the monument of the Heroes. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport.
