The Holy Church of Agios Georgios dominates the town of Lepenos. It is a beautiful stone-built church with a dome, which is internally decorated with a marble mosaic floor, a carved wooden iconostasis and impressive hagiographies. Externally, it has two stone bell towers rising on either side of the main entrance, as well as a well-kept courtyard. On the feast day of Agios Georgios, a solemn Divine Liturgy is celebrated followed by a procession of the holy icon of the Saint, with the presence of many believers. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport.
