The Church of Agios Nikolaos dominates in the center of the village of Kalivia, Aitoloakarnania, near the provincial road Kalivia-Spolaita Bridge. It is a beautiful church with a dome, which is internally decorated with impressive paintings and hanging gilded chandeliers. Externally it has a spacious courtyard area, as well as a bell tower that rises next to the main entrance. Every year, on December 6, a solemn Divine Liturgy and procession of the holy icon of the patron saint Agios Nikolaos takes place, in the presence of a large number of believers. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport.
