The Monument of the Fallen, located in the settlement of Kalivia in the Municipality of Agrinio, was built in 1984 by the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania and the Community of Kalivia. It stands imposingly and is a tribute to the 59 Greek patriots, who were executed as a group by the Germans, on July 31, 1944. Every year, the Municipality of Agrinio in collaboration with the Local Community of Kalivia organizes an event dedicated to the memory of the Fallen, followed by the laying of wreaths at the monument, in the presence of a large crowd. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport.
