“Ancient Boukatio is located on the southeastern side of the village of Paravola in Aitoloakarnania and north of Lake Trichonis. It is a fortified ancient city, built on a hill, which had a citadel, semicircular and square towers of Byzantine times and walls of the 4th century. Today, much of the fortification wall survives, as well as a semicircular tower with three windows and two doors on the southeast side of the citadel. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Visitable hours: Free Access.
