The Church of Panagia Kastro or Paleokastritissa is located on the south side of the village of Paravola in Aitoloakarnania. It is built on a hill, near the modern cemetery and right next to the ruins of Ancient Boukatio. It is a Byzantine church of three-aisled basilica with a semicircular arch, while it is an important monument of the early Christian period. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport.
