The Holy Monastery of Zoodochou Pigi Gavalou is located at the foot of Mount Arakynthos. It is about 5.5 kilometers from the village of Gavalou, Aitoloakarnania and is widely known as Keli or Kellaki. It is a small verdant monastery, in the center of which dominates the Katholikon. This imposing stone church, cruciform with a dome, was built in 1788 and has undergone a recent renovation, while just behind is the tomb of the last monk who left the Monastery. Next to the church stands an imposing fountain from which flows crystal clear ice water and a building that hosts visitors and pilgrims. This point of interest is Plain and Rural.
