Dimokratias Square is the most central point of the city of Agrinio. It is a large, paved square, which is surrounded by many trees and manicured flower beds with plants and flowers. It is the pre-eminent meeting point of the inhabitants and a place for holding the cultural events of the city. On one side of the square stands the monument of the Heroes, while in the middle there is a mosaic that represents the mythical fight of Hercules with Acheloos.
