Alykes (salt pans) of Messolonghi  are located near the Old National Road Messolonghi - Aetoliko. They are the largest Greek salt pans, producing the majority of salt in Greece. Its concentration is realized by the ancient method of sea evaporation with the contribution of the sun and the wind.
