The Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior is located a few meters outside the village of Monastiraki in Aitoloakarnania. This is a stone-built monastery that is also known as Pantokrator, while now only its katholikon on a small hill survives. Inside the Temple is the base of the episcopal throne, the wood-carved pulpit and the hagiographed iconostasis with frescoes of the 18th century. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport.
