Vonitsa is a town in the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania and the seat of the Municipality of Aktio-Vonitsa. It is a coastal town located on the south side of the Amvrakikos gulf with intense island colors and picturesque straits. It has a modern marina, a well-preserved castle, beautiful beaches, but also the impressive island of Koukoumitsa. According to the 2011 census, the population is 4,703.
