The Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is located 5 km east of Vonitsa. The historic church is built in the 17th century, on the slope of Amaderos hill, in a verdant area with a unique view of the sea and the green landscape. It is a stone church of basilica style with a dome, which is internally decorated with hagiographies, while since 1922 it has been declared a protected monument.
