The Holy Monastery of Agios Dimitrios Palairos is 6.5 km south of the homonymous town of the Municipality of Aktio-Vonitsa. It is built in a verdant area at the foot of the western mountain range of the Akarnanian Mountains at an altitude of 260 meters, with a unique sea view that stretches in front of it. It was founded in 1752 and since 1966 it has been declared a historical monument. The katholikon of the monastery consists of stone on the outside, while its interior is decorated with hagiographies. It is a one-room royal church, with a tiled roof and a gable bell tower. This point of interest is Coastal and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
