The Church of Agios Ioannis stands majestically in the southern part of the town Paralia of the Prefecture of Achaia. It is a large church, which is internally decorated with a carved marble iconostasis and impressive paintings. It consists of two bell towers, which rise on either side of the main entrance and a manicured courtyard with many trees, on which stands the monument to the Heroes of the Fallen. Every year on June 24, the feast day of the Birthday of St. John the Baptist, a solemn Divine Liturgy is celebrated in the presence of a large number of believers.
