The Holy Church of Agios Ioannis the Theologian dominates in a central part of Patras. It is a beautiful stone church with a dome, built in 1899. The interior is decorated with a carved wooden iconostasis and impressive paintings, while the exterior consists of a fenced paved courtyard with many tall trees. Every year on September 29, the feast day of St. John the Theologian, a solemn Divine Liturgy is celebrated in the presence of many believers. This point of interest is Plain and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
