Platani is a settlement, which is located northeast of the city of Patras, at a height of 200 meters. Its name is due to the many plane trees that are found in the area and a plethora of archaeological finds testify that it has been inhabited since antiquity. According to a description by Pausanias, it is considered that the ancient city of Argyra was located at the site. An important attraction is the Church of Agios Nikolaos which dates back to the 11th century. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
