The Holy Temple of Agia Irini is located in the area of ​​Riganokampos in the city of Patras. During the Byzantine period, there was a Stavropegian church in the area in honor of Agia Irini, which housed her relic. In 1231, the relic was embezzled by the Latin Archbishop of Patras Antelmo and transported to the West along with many sacred relics of the city. It was returned in 2002 and since then it is kept in the new church of Agia Irini, which is located near the place where the old one was built. This point of interest is Plain and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
