Aktaio is a seaside settlement and suburb of Patras. It borders the settlement of Rio and the town of Agios Vassilios, while it is about 2 km east of the Rio-Antirrio Bridge and 10 km north of the center of Patras. It consists of large rural areas with olive trees and has beautiful beaches, which makes it a popular tourist destination during the summer months. The old name of the settlement was Bernardika and according to the 2011 census the population amounts to 1,494 inhabitants. This point of interest is Coastal and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
