The Rio Ferry located in the settlement of the same name is a transport hub of Western Central Greece with the Peloponnese. It has two piers, one east and one west on either side of the Castle of Morea, which belong to the jurisdiction of the Port Authority of Patras. The connection is made via ferry boat, which runs the Rio-Antirio route and offers its services by transporting thousands of passengers and vehicles on a daily basis.
