The stone-built Church of Saint Dimitrios is located in Messolonghi, next to the nursing home. It celebrates twice a year, on October 26 and November 3. The first date has a religious and historical character as on the one hand it is the day of the feast of the Saint and on the other hand it marks the beginning of the first siege of Messolonghi on October 25, 1822.

The second is the anniversary of the arrival of the icon of Panagia Prousiotissa in 1918 during which the great plague miraculously stopped.
