The Catholic Church of Agios Andreas was built due to the growing number of Catholics in Patras. The old church was built in 1841 and the current church, which is twice the size of the old one, was completed in 1953. Inside the church are the chapel of St. Joseph and the chapel of Panagia Ponemeni, which are decorated with works of Varouhas dating to 1920 and 1925 respectively.
