Agios Georgios Square is located in front of the Roman Conservatory, in a very central part of Ano Poli, above the stairs of Gerokostopoulou. According to historical sources, its name is due to the Holy Temple of St. George which was located inside the Roman Conservatory, in its back, before the Revolution of 1821.
