Omonia Square is the central square of the district of Agios Dimitrios in Patras. Its official name is Papadiamantopoulos Square in honor of the great fighter of the Revolution of 1821. Papadiamantopoulos was a merchant and the uprising of Patras began on March 21, 1821. There was the first battle of the struggle in Patras when the Turks attempted unsuccessfully to understand it. The Statue of the Unknown Warrior dominates the square in honor of all the Fighters of the Greek Revolution. This point of interest is Plain and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round.
