Roman Nymphaeum

The Roman nymphaeum consists of ruins of a nymphaeum complex of Roman times which are located in the center of Patras, at the intersection of Kanakari and Vlachou streets. The nymphaeum was on the one hand a place of worship in honor of the nymphs and on the other hand a recreation area with gardens and water jets. It dates back to the 2nd century AD. and was three-aisled with semicircular stands under which there was a portico. Two cobbled streets have been discovered at the site, which also date back to Roman times, at the intersection of which the nymphaeum was built. This point of interest is Plain and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Source of photographic material: Wikipedia.
