Neochori, with less than 4,000 inhabitants, is a town located in the southwestern part of the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania and belongs to the Municipality of the Holly City of Messolonghi. Is built on the banks of the river Achelous, which crosses it on its northwest side. Neochori is about 20 km away from Messolonghi in the lush natural landscape that surrounds it and has agricultural and livestock development. About seventeen kilometers southwest of Neochori you will find Louros beach, protected by the RAMSAR Convention. Louros is the largest beach in Greece and one of the best in the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania.
