Ano Mamoulada, is built on the east side of Mount Rigani, at an altitude of 850 m., On a slope overgrown with fruit trees and plenty of water. In the middle of the village, under the shade of a centuries-old plane tree, is the church of the village, dedicated to the twelve Apostles. Most of the inhabitants of the village have moved to the lower Kato Mamoulada, with the result that the population of Ano Mamoulada's village is declining.
