This is the old monastery of Panagia Filotheou, located at an altitude of 750 meters and a distance of 3 km south of Niokastro on the hill Lefka. The monastery was renovated in 1695, but was abolished in 1837 by royal decree of Otto, which abolished the monasteries with less than 6 monks and resulted in its subsequent demolition. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a new one was built, incorporating remnants of the old one, such as the Holy Table, the niche of the Holy Step and the stone floor. The Holy Chalice of 1731 is preserved on the ruins. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport.
