The Chestnut and Tsipouro Festival is organized every year, around the middle of October, in Ano Chora, Nafpaktia. It is a celebration that aims to revive old customs, but also to entertain residents and visitors. The locals prepare the cauldrons for the distillation of tsipouro and the foufoudes for roasting the chestnuts, while the housewives offer pies, pancakes, donuts and other homemade dishes. This is followed by a party with traditional songs and dances. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: Autumn. It is accessible through public transport.
