The Holy Monastery of Agios Petros is located on the western slope of Mount Varasova in Aitoloakarnania. It is a ruined monastery, which is surrounded by tall trees and has a unique view of the Gulf of Patras. Today, part of the external fence is preserved, as well as the ruins of a one-room temple with a three-sided arch. In 1972 a new church was built, in which a Divine Liturgy is celebrated every year on June 29, the feast day of Agios Petros. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket. Visitable hours: 24 hours a day.
