Kefalogiofyro is located near the village of Katafygio in mountainous Nafpaktia. It is a picturesque stone bridge that stands majestically over the river Mornos, in a lush natural landscape. According to the historical tradition, the survivors of the heroic Exodus of Mesolongi in 1826 went through this, looking for shelter in the Varnakova Monastery which is located nearby. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
