Koryfi is a semi-mountainous village of Ileia, which belongs to the municipal unit of Iardanos of the Municipality of Pyrgos. It is 12 km from Pyrgos and consists of 246 inhabitants, according to the 2011 census. In 1860 it was named Magoulianites and Koukouvitsa, while its current name has been given since 1955. The monastery also belongs to the community Frangopidimatos, while the most important attraction of the settlement is the Castle of Koukouvitsa, which was discovered in 1909.
