The Church of Agios Dionysios is located on 28th of October Street, opposite the Governor's Office, in Pyrgos, Ileia. It is a relatively small, but quite historic church, built in the late 19th century in Ionian style, as part of the Monastery of Agios Dionysios in the Strofades Islands. The construction of the Temple is due to the transfer of an arm of the Saint from Zakynthos to Pyrgos. Every year on December 17, in the city of Pyrgos, Agios Dionysios is solemnly celebrated, with the presence of several believers. This point of interest is Plain and Urban.
