The Holy Church of Agia Kyriaki is the oldest church of Pyrgos. It is a very beautiful church, Gothic style, which was built around 1834. It retains its special features to this day and is considered a jewel for the city. The interior is decorated by the gilded iconostasis, which is made of walnut, wire and porcelain, as well as the paintings of the great Zakynthian Tamvakis. Every year at the end of January, a festive Divine Liturgy takes place, with the faithful arriving at the Temple to worship the icon of the patron Saint Charalambos.
