The Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is located in the center of the village of Ariada. It is a small white church of basilica style, which has an ornate iconostasis and beautiful frescoes that have been damaged. It was built in 1892 and in its courtyard is located the village cemetery. Every year, on the day of the Virgin Mary, on the 15th of August, a solemn Divine Liturgy is held in the presence of a large number of believers. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
