Neo Chalkiopoulo is a semi-mountainous village of Aitoloakarnania and the seat of the homonymous local community that belongs to the Municipality of Amfilochia. It has an altitude of 374 meters and is built at the foot of Mount Kalana and on the west bank of the river Inachos. It is 42 km from Amfilochia and 7.5 km from Palio Chalkiopoulos, while the population is 569 inhabitants, according to the 2011 census. It is a beautiful traditional village with an impressive church dedicated to Agios Georgios, while it has a large, paved square and a fairly organized health center.
