The Holy Temple dedicated to Agios Georgios dominates the central square of the village of Chalkiopoulos. It is a beautiful white church with a dome and a tiled roof, which is internally decorated with a carved wooden iconostasis and hagiographies of unique design. Externally it has a spacious courtyard area, as well as a four-storey bell tower that rises next to the main entrance. On the eve of the feast of Agios Andreas the Hermit, there is a solemn evening in the Holy Temple of Agios Georgios, followed by a procession of the Holy Relics of the Saint, in the presence of many believers.
