Stathas (old name: Dounista) is a historic settlement located north of Amfilochia, at an altitude of 640 meters. He played an important role in the Revolution of 1821 as from there came the boatman of Valtos Gerodimos Stathas, from whom the settlement was later renamed. It is surrounded by a magnificent oak forest and at the point there is a landing area for paragliding athletes. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport.
