The Holy Temple dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is the only building that survives today from the ruined village of Ambrakia in the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania. It is a white rectangular church with a tiled roof, built in 1680, on a hill with a unique view of the green plain that stretches in front of it. It has a spacious courtyard area, surrounded by a stone paddock and tall shady trees. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport.
