Kandila is a village that belongs to the Municipality of Xiromero in the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania. It is built at the foot of the Akarnanian mountains in a green landscape and consists essentially of two villages, Pano and Kato Kandila. Its name is probably due to the simulation of the settlement with a candle, which shines from afar into the sea. According to the 2011 census it has 1048 inhabitants. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport.
