The church dedicated to Panagia Mavromata is located inside the cemetery of Papadatos village and operated as a monastery. The foundation of the monastery according to local tradition is placed chronologically around 1700, while from a study of the frescoes experts place it in 1750. It is a stone church, basilica style without a dome and internally is presented as a Byzantine style with a dome. The wonderful acoustics of the interior are also admirable. In the stone iconostasis, two arched openings lead from the main Temple to the Sanctuary. The frescoes of Panagia Mavromata are the work of folk painters. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
