The Alyzia Dam is located in Xiromero and specifically near the ancient city of Alyzia. It dates back to the 4th or 3rd century and is made of rectangular limestone blocks, while its total height reaches 11 meters. It served to retain a large amount of water and sediments that came from the Varnaca torrent, thus facilitating cultivation in the plain of Mytikas. This point of interest is Plain and Rural.
