The Holy Monastery of Agioi Apostoloi is located on the outskirts of the Akarnanian mountains, near the picturesque village of Kandila. The historic ruined monastery was founded in the middle of the 16th century and according to local tradition played an important role in the life of the villagers, since it also functioned as a Secret School. Monks lived in the monastery, whose cells are preserved to this day. Every year on June 30, the feast day of the Agioi Apostoloi, a solemn Divine Liturgy is celebrated, in the presence of many believers. This point of interest is Plain and Rural.
