The Old Church of Agios Georgios is located on the south side of the village of Kalidona in the Municipality of Zacharo. It is a 180-year-old stone church, with a stone bell tower and bronze bells hung on oak trunks. The interior is decorated with a wooden painted ceiling and in the middle hangs, since 1905, a chandelier with crystal garlands. It is an important cultural monument for the village, as it has historical significance and is its first church, but also its patron saint. It now operates only on Agios Thomas Sunday each year. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport.
