The archeological site, located near the settlement of Kakovatos, is a great Mycenaean site. A fortified settlement and three chambered tombs have been discovered at the site. The findings reveal that this is an ancient site with great power and, according to the verses of the Odyssey, it is probable that the Gate of Nestor was built there. This point of interest is Plain and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
