The Holy Monastery of Agia Paraskevi is located on a hill, which is 300 meters east of Makrisia and has a unique view to all parts of the horizon. The church was built in 1984 in the style of a basilica, consists of a dome and a cruciform roof and has a Karystos stone cladding. The interior is decorated with several portable icons, as well as a wood-carved iconostasis. The nun Menodora stays in the Monastery, who with personal effort contributed to the construction of the main church, but also of the sanctuary located right next door. On July 26, the celebration of Agia Paraskevi takes place, with the faithful visiting the Monastery to worship the image of Agia. This point of interest is Flat and Urban. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
