The Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Krestena is located on the east side of the city, opposite the historic villa Papalexi, in a magnificent, lush landscape. It is built of carved stone and consists mainly of earthy colors. The first service took place in 1907, while every year on August 15, on the day of its feast, the Temple is filled with crowds of people who arrive to worship the image of the Virgin Mary.
