Nea Skillountia is a semi-mountainous village of the Peloponnese in the Peripheral Unit of Ilia at an altitude of 318 meters. It is located in the area of ​​Ancient Olympia, south of the Alpheus River, while it is 7 km from Krestena and 27 km from the city of Pyrgos. It is considered a new village, as it began construction in 1972, due to the need of the inhabitants of old Skillountia to be relocated to a new location, after the earthquake of 1965.
