Skillountia or ancient Skillous is a village and community in the Municipal Unit of Skillountos of the Municipality of Andritsaina-Krestenwn in Ileia. It is located in the hills south of the river Alfeios, 6 km east of Krestena and 7 km southeast of Olympia. Its name comes from the ancient Tryphilian city of Skillountia, inside of which dominated the temple of Athena Skylountia and Artemis of Ephesus. After the catastrophic earthquake of 1965, the village was moved to another location and almost deserted, while in 2011 it had only 20 permanent residents. This point of interest is Mountainous and Rural. Suitable season to visit: All-year-round. It is not accessible through public transport. It has no fee or ticket.
