Lappas is a settlement and is located near the beautiful forest of Strofilia. In the past, the wider area was given to the royal couple and at the place where the settlement is today, the royal facilities were built. This royal estate was returned to the public in 1923 and the area was inhabited by Greeks who lived in mountainous areas, mainly, but also by refugees from Asia Minor.
